Ford Motor Company shared major news this week announcing the expected delivery date of their fully electric F-150, slated to arrive in dealer showrooms mid-2022. Ford’s F-series trucks have been the best selling pickups in America 43 years in a row, so a delivery date for their fully electric version is very exciting!
Prototype testing of the all-electric truck has been spotted near the company’s Michigan headquarters over the past year. Sources predict a price tag of over $50,000 with a range up to 400 miles.

Ford will relaunch its presence in the fully electric category later this year with deliveries of the Mustang Mach-E crossover SUV, expected quarter four of 2020. The Mach-E has a targeted EPA-estimated range of 300 miles. Ford has pre-sold over 45,000 of the 50,000 year one allocations. The brand previously produced the Focus Electric hatchback from 2011 to 2018. Less than 10,000 Focus Electrics were delivered in the US.
Will Ford assert its pickup truck dominance over the other fully electric competition? Contenders such as the upcoming GMC Hummer EV, Rvian R1T and the Telsa Cybertruck will undoubtedly make for tough opposition. Only time will tell who will take the crown, but one thing is certain, we’re excited to get behind the wheel of Ford’s new electric F-150.
